Equations on this site are formatted using the WWW Consortium standard MathML, so your browser needs to be capable of displaying these equations. There are two forms of MathML, "Presentation" and "Content".
My informal tests on my pages show the following compatability
| Internet Explorer | Firefox | Google Chrome | Apple Safari | |
| Presentation MathML | Displays with free MathPlayer add-in | Displays OK | Does not display | Does not display |
| Content MathML | Displays with free MathPlayer add-in | Does not display | Does not display | Does not display |
You can download a test the page here. The test page is an XML file that contains "islands" of MathML. The xml file is transformed to HTML/XML using XSLT.
I have formatted the equations using Presentation MathML, and I would recommend using IE with the add-in, or Firefox browser (which is available in the university labs). If I can find a mathml.xslt processor that works with more browsers, I will update the above list.
